WellspringWELLSPRING - '03 Dutch Warmblood filly by Wellington (keur Dutch Warmblood stallion from Holland, by the legendary sire, Nimmerdor) out of our First Premium, Dutch approved, and # 3 TB mare in North America, Ol Lady Express. Each of Wellspring’s 5 siblings has earned at least 1 USDF Horse of the Year award, either for the Sporthorse Breed shows, or Dressage shows. Wellspring made her own name at the USDF Breed shows. She earned Grand Champion Filly of 2003 with a 79.4% from Hilda Gurney, which was the second highest score of the entire USDF Breed Show! Judges' comments include: "Beautiful filly, lovely type. Elegant, well developed. Nice condition and muscling. Good legs and feet. Correct. Nice swinging walk with good overstep. Nice long strides in trot. Nice expression!"At Wellspring's Dutch Warmblood keuring inspection she was awarded the prestigious First Premium rating. And she ended up the #5 USDF Sporthorse Horse of the Year for Fillies of 2003 (all breeds). Due to Cean’s life demands, Wellspring got a late start with consistent under saddle training. Cean debuted Wellspring in the fall of 2009 at the USDF competitions, showing her at Training level. Wellspring earned outstanding scores, with multiple scores in the 70’s, and as high as 73.214%. Wellspring is schooling First level at home.

Wellspring is a sale horse here at Top Flight Farms. However, plans are to possibly breed Wellspring for a spring of 2011 foal. Stallion choice is still being researched. Cean would also like to get Wellspring more experience, and working and showing more consistently before putting her on the general market for sale. You are welcomed to inquire about Wellspring’s progress and sale status.
